If I could live a day in anyone's shoes, I would pick Calipurnia. I would pick Calipurnia because she is treated very well by the Finches. The Finches also treat her like family and care for her. Calipurnia is treated unlike the rest of the African Americans in the community. I feel like she is well respected by the Finches.
ReplyDeleteIf I could live a day as any character so far I would live a day as Scout. I would choose Scout because she has a lot of adventures and has an interesting family. Scout is a very smart, fun character and I think it would be fun to live in her shoes for a day. -Ash Lyons
ReplyDeleteI would like to live in the shoes of Calpurnia because she is treated very nicely by the Finches. It wouldn't be fun being her because Aunt Alexandra doesn't like her and she doesn't want her to be there. She is an African American woman who works with a white family. That is very uncommon for that to happen, but the Finches treat her like she is family. They respect her, so that is why I chose to live in the shoes of Cal.
ReplyDeleteIf I could live a day in one of the characters shoes I would pick Atticus. I would want to be Atticus because he knows a lot of things that others don't. I would also have inside knowledge of the court case and I would have some authority in the town. I like being in the know about things, but there are some bad things about being Atticus like people would threaten me and some would even hate me, but I would still be a leader for some of the people.

ReplyDeleteI would want to be scout because she is very curious and does a lot if stuff.I think I would want to be in scout shoes because she gets to go places that not all white people would e able to go and that would be cool and to get to live with a black person in that day would be different. I also would want to because of the way she acts and just to see how her life is.
If I could be any character I would choose to be Scout. I think it would be interesting to be her and to have her thoughts. Scout sometimes even has a mind of her own. I would want to be careless like her and not be afraid to explore new things. She sees the good in people and sometimes that is hard for others to do so I wish I could experience more of that trait. I think it would be interesting living in the Finch's house, because it seems that there is always something going on and never a dull day. I also think the time period Scout is living in would be interesting, to see all the different types of families and how different things are seen and the way things go compared to now a days.
ReplyDeleteIf I could live a day in the shoes of any character so far, I would pick Jem during the day of the court case. I would do this because he got to witness probably one of the biggest court cases in their town for awhile. I would pick Jem over Scout because he would have a better understanding about what everything meant and why stuff was happening. I would also like to be Jem because it would be very cool to sit in there and watch everyone show a huge amount of respect for your father, and especially to gain respect for him yourself.
ReplyDeleteIf I could live a day in the shoes of one character out of the novel it would be Atticus because he is a very wise person who knows a lot about Maycomb and he tries and helps everyone around him it dosen't matter what skin color they have. Atticus helped Mrs. Dubose even though she was mean and cruel but he knew that she couldn't help it. And most importantly he helped Tom Robersion even though he was forced to he still gave Tom his all in helping him to be a free man. The whole town respects Atticus greatly and they trust him to do the dirty work for them. I know it would be a lot to have on your shoulders like Atticus does but he is a very respectable and one of the most caring people in Maycomb.
ReplyDeleteI would want to live a day in the shoes of Atticus Finch. Aside from when he's at home or in the court room there really isn't too much about Atticus. We don't really know exactly what he does when he isn't around Scout. Atticus is an interesting character due to the many odd actions that he takes throughout the book. Such as taking Tom Robinson's case even though he knew he would lose, he tried to win the case. The way he treats his children, his young children, like they are adults is something you don't really see often in this world.
ReplyDeleteIf I could live a day as any character I would pick Atticus because everyone in Maycomb respects him very well, he has a good family history, Atticus is very kind to everyone and he treats everyone fair and with respect, for example he defended Tom to the best of his ability even though he was forced to do it and there was a higher chance that he would lose the case.

ReplyDeleteIf I could pick any character that I could be for a day I would choose to be Miss Maudie. The reason that I picked to be Miss Maudie is because she is a very nice, wise woman but she also stands her ground. She doesn't let people push her around and she always sees the good in anything that happens. One example of Miss Maudie's positivity is when her house burns down and she doesn't stay sad for long. Instead, Miss Maudie says that she never liked how big the house had been and that she would rebuild it smaller. Another thing that I like about Miss Maudie is that she is nice to kids while other adults aren't and she is always there for the kids. I think that being Miss Maudie for a day would be relaxing and calming. Theses are just a few of the reasons why I choose Miss Maudie as the person I want to be for a day.
If I could live one day in any characters shoes I would pick Scout. I would choose Scout because she is such a smart girl for only being 8. I think it would be fun to be Scout for a day because she is so adventurous and is always willing to go with the flow about anything Jem or Dill have to say. One of the main reason I picked to be Scout is because she never sees the bad in people and she is always kind to everyone and I think that takes a lot of courage for a 8 year old to do. Most importantly Scout respects her father every much and she never takes a day for granted. I personally think it would be fun to live with Atticus, Jem, and Calpurnia. I think this because Scout always has something to do or people to talk to and she is very loved by her family.
ReplyDeleteIf I could live a day in the shoes of one character out of the novel, I would choose Scout because she is very smart for being 8, and she has a family that loves her. I would also like to be Scout because she goes on many adventures that kids her age don't really get to go on. For example, she got to see the court case, which many children her age wouldn't be able to see. She also got to go to Calpurnia's church, and experience the difference between a white's community and an African American community.
ReplyDeleteIf I could live a day in one of the characters shoes I'd pick Atticus. Atticus is always helping people even if they haven't helped him. He helped Mrs. Dubose even after all the mean things she said about him, and he tried to help Tom even though he knew he was going to lose. Atticus always sees the good in people and isn't so quick to judge. Atticus goes through a lot, but he cares more about others than he does himself. He is always lending a helping hand to the people who need it most, so that is why I would pick to be in his shoes for a day.
ReplyDeleteIf I were to choose a character to be for one day I would choose Calpurnia. She is always being the second mother to Scout and helping her out. I love to keep people happy and help people so our personalities would blend well. Calpurnia got to go with Atticus out of the house, and i think it would be interesting to see what they were doing. If i were to be Calpurnia for a day i would turn Scout into a lady, make the boys respect her, and make sure everyone is safe and happy at all times. I wish i was Calpurnia for a day just to know how she got treated and treated others.
ReplyDeleteif i could be anyone i would be Jem he is smart and mature for his age. his life is pretty simple and hes hardworking. i tries to look out for others even when hes mad. Jem also likes football like i do and were around the same age. he's curious just like scout and he wants to know who Boo is. Jem is also very distant from his family and he likes to keep to himself like i do at home.
ReplyDeleteIf I could live a single day as one of the characters, I would pick Atticus because he knows a lot of things and can also feel things that others cant. Being Atticus would mean i would have some respect from most of the and a lot of knowledge about what is going around the environment he lives in.
ReplyDeleteIf I could be any character I would pick scout because she is very adventurist. She is also very creative smart and kind. She might be a girl but that doesn't matter, she also gets in fights a lot when she is a kid that reminds me of me when I was a kid i always got in fights for standing up to people.
